ACL Strength Training/Injury Prevention for Girl Athletes

ACL STRENGTH TRAINING/INJURY PREVENTION
 
Training Focus: This program is designed for female athletes wanting to perform better and train smarter. Females are more likely than males to sustain non-contact anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. The best way to prevent this and other lower extremity injury is to strengthen the hamstrings, hips, core, and trunk. The goal of this program is to teach females the proper landing, cutting, and pivoting mechanics so their bodies can stay healthy on the field. This training will improve balance, strength, change of direction movement, and more. 

Cost: $80 for 8 one-hour sessions (for 4 weeks with 2 trainings per week (total of 80 hours of training)).

Session Size & Age Groups: Sessions are limited to GIRLS in U13-U19.  We are striving for a 10-1 ratio of athlete to trainer for each session.

Primary Instructor:  Kelly Stetser: MS, AT, ATC. Licensed Athletic Trainer, KIPP (Knee Injury Prevention Program) Coach, and Injury Prevention Specialist. Kelly is a former collegiate soccer player, enjoys yoga, and has 8 years of experience in pre-habilitation for athletes pre-season and in-season. Kelly is also a USA team coach.

Dates & Times:
Sundays and Thursdays between January 5 and January 30
Sunday 5:00-6:00pm AND Thursday 5:30-6:30pm:  U13 – U19 Girls

Program Registration & Payment
Sign-up & Pay online through the USA website using same player account used for team registration.  Just login to the "My Account" in the upper right corner of the website and you should see "Programs Available" in the middle of the page for your player.  Simply follow the registration steps (you can pay online, too ... or contact the club Director of Operations to coordinate onsite payment).
