USA Strength & Speed Training

STRENGTH & SPEED TRAINING

We are passionate about providing affordable opportunities for our athletes to advance in their skills. This program is a great opportunity for athletes to not only get better for their upcoming season, but learn more about injury prevention, how to take care of their bodies, and train in a way that builds strength and speed. We have invested focused effort into developing this program because we believe with experienced professionals, this training can be the difference between an athlete and a competitor.

Training Focus: This program was designed to build strength, endurance, speed and power. Each day the athletes will perform a variety of exercises that help them excel in their sport physically and mentally. The program is a combination of resistance and speed drills, challenging each athlete to compete. This includes teaching proper form and technique.  We will focus on showing the athletes stretches to aid in recovery and taking care of their bodies, as well as injury prevention stretches and drills. Through different strength and speed tests, the athletes will be able to see their improvement by the end of the program.  The goal for the end of this training is to have each athlete feel stronger and more prepared for the up-coming season. 
 
Cost: This year we are offering two separate 4-week sessions.  Participants can register for either session or both with a cost reduction.  $100.00 per session (for 4 weeks with 2 trainings per week (total of 10 hours of training)) OR $180.00 for two sessions (8 bi-weekly trainings).

Session Size & Age Groups: Sessions are limited to U13-U19.  We are striving for a 10-1 ratio of athlete to trainer for each session.

Primary Instructor:   Kelly Stetser: MS, AT, ATC. Licensed Athletic Trainer, KIPP (Knee Injury Prevention Program) Coach, and Injury Prevention Specialist. Kelly is a former collegiate soccer player, enjoys yoga, and has 8 years of experience in pre-habilitation for athletes pre-season and in-season. Kelly is also a USA team coach.

Dates & Times:
Session 1 – Sundays and Thursdays between February 2 and February 23
Sunday 5:00-6:30pm AND Thursday 5:30-6:30pm:  U13 – U19 Coed
 
Session 2 – Sundays and Thursdays between March 1 and March 26
Sunday 5:00-6:30pm AND Thursday 5:30-6:30pm:  U13 – U19 Coed

Program Registration & Payment
Sign-up & Pay online through the USA website using same player account used for team registration.  Just login to the "My Account" in the upper right corner of the website and you should see "Programs Available" in the middle of the page for your player.  Simply follow the registration steps (you can pay online, too ... or contact the club Director of Operations to coordinate onsite payment).
