United Soccer Athletes Announces Director of Coach and Player Development

We have important news for the future of United Soccer Athletes!

For years Chris Hofland has been your Club's Director of Coaching and Player Development (as well as a coach and board member).  His dedication, experience, and knowledge has been pivotal in building the foundation on which the Club's strength has grown.  He will be passing the baton to a new leader but we are so fortunate that he will be continue to steer the Club through his continued involvement as a member of the Board of Directors.  The next time you see Chris, give him a pat on the back and thank him for his energy and guidance of our coaching staff and nurturing of our soccer players - we certainly do.

At this time we are excited to announce United Soccer Athletes' new Director of Coaching and Player Development.  Molly Currens joined our Club earlier this fall and served as the head coach for one of our U19 Girls teams.  Some of you may know Molly (Drooger) from her days at Holland High where she graduated in 2009. Molly attended and played for Taylor University scoring 60+ goals and 15+ assists in her career.  While at Taylor, she achieved All American recognition and was awarded Player of the Year during her junior year.  Molly went on to play with the semi-professional Charlotte Lady Eagles from 2012-2016 in Charlotte, North Carolina. While playing for the Eagles she became an accomplished coach in the club's youth Urban Eagles club as well as training area coaches. Molly moved back to Holland earlier this fall with her husband who is a strength and conditioning trainer.

Molly's experience, skill, knowledge, and personality are a powerful extension to the work initiated by Chris.  We are excited to have Molly as part to the Club leadership team and to help her further bolster the Club's future as we pursue higher levels of skill, stronger competitiveness, and heightened character for our players.  Molly will be leading tomorrow's Coaches Training so make sure you take the time to introduce yourselves and welcome her into her new role.

As always, we thank you all for your time, dedication, skill, and energy.  You are the people that drive the Club forward.  We appreciate all that you bring and we continue to strive to provide the leadership necessary to help you and our players excel.  We are so thankful for leaders like Chris and Molly to help serve these roles.
