U16/17 Girls Premier Team Tryouts


USA Soccer Club welcomes all high-level U16 and U17 (born in 2002 or 2003) girls who want to join our Premier Team for the upcoming Fall 2018 season to tryouts.  Attending tryouts is mandatory for making a team.

You may download and complete this form prior to tryouts if you wish, but we will have copies of these forms to be completed on site by parents after player selections (see more below).

Saturday, June 16

Tryouts will be held at USA's fields at Helder Park (corner of Quincy St. and 104th Avenue). 
Arrive at between 8:30 – 9:00am. 
Tryouts start around 9:00am. 

What to do if you can't get to tryouts:
If you are unable to attend tryouts you may complete the ABSENTEE PROCESS (follow the link to our process).  Please note that attending tryouts for the premier teams is critical for placement.  If you are unable to attend, you may have the option of being placed on a select or elite team.

Here's what to bring:

Bring a parent or guardian (to do paperwork and be there with you), a check for $100 made payable to USA Soccer*, a water bottle, a soccer ball, shin guards and a positive attitude. Please do not wear any club-affiliated clothing. 

Here's what to expect afterwards:

Player selections will be made on the field and players/families will be asked for commitments before leaving.  A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a spot on the team roster and all registration forms must be completed (provided on site after team selections).

Who's the coach:


Coach Jason Hunter will once again be the team head coach.

Team Fee:

The team fee for the premier team is $400 for the Fall Season. This fee includes: MSPSL & GVSA team registration costs, as well as the team fee for the State Cup tournament (or one other traveling tournament).  A $100 non-refundable deposit will be required to secure a spot on the team roster.  The balance of $300 can be paid online during the completion of the Club registration process.

Here's what's next:

Once  you make and have committed to the team your coaching staff will share a additional information about the season.  Prior to leaving the tryout field you will complete the required registration paperwork for the premier league.  You will also have to complete the registration process and become an official USA player.  Along with the information will be directions about how to complete the USA Online Registration Process.  Accepting your roster spot is your first step to joining the Club.  Completing the registration process is the way to officially join the Club!  To become an official member of the team and USA each player must be fully registered.  This is different than the registration process completed in hardcopy onsite at tryouts.  This web-based system allows your family to complete all the balance of the Club-required registration forms, register for the USA Team Camp, and pay the balance of your player fee … all securely online.   You will be given information about how to get online and how to work through the system.  The system will not be available until after tryouts.

Once you reach the end of the online process you will have become a committed player in the Club, selected your uniform number (if you are not a returning player), signed up for the USA-only Club Camp, and paid for the season – all in the course of a few easy minutes!  We do urge you to register as soon as you can so that you can rest assured that the registration process is done, and more importantly you player will be a fully committed player with ‘ready to play’ status.  Not completing the process or postponing fee payment may impact their roster status.  If you have any concerns or questions about this please let me know.

Then:

On the evening of Thursday, June 28th the entire Club will come out for Registration Night at the Soccer Stop Sportsplex.  We will all spend an hour or so together, meeting your coach and teammates, enjoying a cookout, and completing any information that might be left to do.  This is the chance to finish online registration (we will have computers set up and people to help), pay if you did not do so online, talk with Club leadership about financial aid, and age any questions answered.

You are on your way into summer and getting ready for the fall season.
